growing up in the 60s

Hi. This is my 1st submission under this title.
It would be a trip down memory lane where you will probably be able to visualise the way it used to be in the 60s and early 70s.
Well, i was born Sangra Narayanan in June 1957. My parents, Balakrishnan and T Rajamma. Both my parents were born in India. Kerala to be precise. Dad worked in the Federal ExperimentaStation in Serdang and of course, we lived in a government quarters. Dad was a typist and mum stayede a housewife even though she had formal teachers training in India before sailing to Malaya aboard the SS Rajula, a steamship that plied regularly between Madras port swethenham and Penang. according to mum, she first stayed at her uncle's place also in serdang. That was the Kurup family in College of agriculture, Serdang. Her cousin, Vatsala moved on to be one of the founder members of the famous temple of fine arts in Brickfields. That will be in another chapter of my thoughts.Thats all for now and i shall continue with my thoughts in a couple of days.
bye .
